Matthew Bretz, D.C. (1960-2012) (Chiropractic Physician)
Dr. Bretz founded the practice in 1983 after graduating from Logan College of Chiropractic with his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree. He also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology from Logan. Dr. Bretz brought together a variety of specialties in one office, including chiropractic, medical, physical therapy, pain management, nutrition/weight loss and massage therapy. The Med +Plus team is dedicated in carrying on Dr. Bretz’s vision of providing the public with the highest level of multi-disciplinary patient care.
Jeff Schatz, D.C. (Chiropractic Physician)
Dr. Schatz graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1990, with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. Before attending Logan, he studied at the University of Illinois and Northern Illinois University. He also earned his Post-Doctorate degree in Sports Injuries from National College of Chiropractic in 1994. Dr. Schatz has been with our office since 1992 and oversees the clinic.
Matt Palm, D.C. (Chiropractic Physician)
Dr. Palm graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2013 with his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree. Before Logan, he attended Eastern Illinois University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Palm is from the Carlyle area, and he is happy to be back home treating patients.
Gregory Collins, M.D. (Medical Doctor)
Gregory Collins, M.D. graduated from Southern Illinois School of Medicine in 1983. He specializes in anesthesiology and physical medicine which enables us to offer our patients more diverse choices in their care.
Rhonda Pulver, PA-C (Certified Physicians Assistant)
Rhonda started with Med Plus in 2010. In addition to Med Plus, she is the Clinical Coordinator and teaches full time in the Physician Assistant Program at SIU-Carbondale and also continues to work in the Emergency Department at Belleville Memorial Hospital. As a PA, Rhonda has trained and worked with some of the best Physicians and Hospitals in the country. Most recently, she worked with the St Louis University Orthopedic Group on the Trauma Orthopedic team at St John’s Mercy Hospital in Creve Couer, MO. Rhonda started her career in Emergency Medicine at St Joseph Mercy in Pontiac, MI and continues to work locally at Memorial and St Elizabeth Hospitals. Rhonda graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science and completed Paramedic training in Bloomington-Normal in 1993. She graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI in 2005. Since 1991, Rhonda continues to be active in emergency response in the community with the Clinton County Emergency Management Agency.
Stacy Eilermann, DPT (Physical Therapist)
Stacy graduated from St Louis University in 2008 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011 while working as a Staff Physical Therapist at a local hospital. Stacy began working at Med + Plus in 2011 and enjoys working with a wide variety of patients in the outpatient setting.
